Access?

What's the deal with these threads that show up in my unread posts and then when I go to read it says something about not having access?

The thread on early registration is one example.

It's not just you. My guess is that there are some admin only boards that are accidently showing up in our unread messages lists.

Yep, we do have some private discussion boards that we use to discuss the back-end of forum maintenance and other things. A lot of the stuff in these forums is sensitive material or personal contact information, so it's made invisible to the public. Adam will probably fix the issue next time he logs on.

I looked a little closer to see what information I might give to help. The hidden boards are not showing up in my Unread Posts list, but rather in the Latest Posts list.

Thanks, it's just a permissions issue. Between work and coaching I have not been home much but hopefully tonight I will be getting on to fix up a few things!

Is it normal I can't access "forum upgrade feedback"? Also there's something strange going on with the cookies. For example, right now the site acts as if I'm not connected, except when I visit particular pages such as this one, or the groups.

I need to look into that and will be doing that this evening, along with threads showing up that you shouldn't be able to view anyway.

I made a few minor changes in the config settings, it should just kick over and work for those of you that have been having login issues or logged in on one page and not another. If it doesn't, clear your cookies and try again. If it still doesn't work just let me know!

It seems to be working now. I can't access "Test".

Can't you just show all posts. See for example I saw Moonshadow posted about asterisk, and if its the asterisk I was thinking about you imagine I was quite interested :sHa_hyper:, but eventually discovered I didn't have the bloody access :sFun_bat:

X please sort this out, this is TORTURE !!! :D
