Maryland Jedi Order
Baltimore Chapter Meeting
Sunday September 20, 2009
3:45 – 4:00 Doors Open
Feel free to drop in a little early to settle in and chat before the meeting.
4:00 – 4:30 Introductions and Logistics (Moonshadow)
We’ll take some time to introduce the group and its purpose for any new members, along with sharing brief introductions to help us all get to know each other a little better. Introductions will then be followed by brief logistics and updates about the Baltimore Jedi Chapter, associated Maryland Jedi Order groups, next year’s annual Gathering, upcoming Baltimore Chapter meetup dates for October and November, Race for the Cure, topics for future meetings, the Jedi Resource Center forum upgrade, and the future of the Maryland Jedi Order meetup group.
4:30 – 5:00 Martial Arts Training Discussion (Stan)
Stan will discuss and seek feedback for possible topics of interest for future martial arts meetings at his house. We will help determine what direction group members would like to go in terms of the physical aspects of Jedi training.
5:00 – 6:00 Energy Grounding and Shielding Techniques (Everyone)
Coming from so many different backgrounds, each person has different things to share. This is our opportunity to share any grounding or shielding techniques that we know or have found effective with the other members in the group. Sharing is completely optional, though, so even if you don’t want to present anything to the group, feel free to still participate in the learning.
6:00 – 7:00 Taiji Ruler (Moonshadow)
After the main part of the meeting, anyone who missed the last meeting will have another opportunity to learn Taiji Ruler, a simple form used to build and integrate the Force /Chi energy within us. Unlike longer Tai Chi and Qigong forms, this form is short and easy to learn and detailed handouts describing the form with illustrations will also be provided. The entire set, once learned, takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and if done for one hundred days consecutively can cultivate new levels of energy for the practitioner.

Every month the Baltimore Chapter will have new workshops based on member interest and skill level. Volunteers to lead workshops and feedback are encouraged and welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
