View Full Version : greetings From Lincolnshire
This is my first time here, I resign mainly within the Force Academy site. Moonshadow has been exstremely informative about your site I now just need to learn to navigate around here.
I am a beauty therapist and different to most Jedi, I use words that most of you may think I'm flirting but these are words i use in every day language. These words may be Sweeti, hunny, Babe, darling, I would not like to offend anyone but I'v have had other Jedi get the wrong impression.

Welcome, in the town that I'm from we are known to add the word "Hon" at the end of our sentences. It's such a common thing that we sometimes forget it's not a part of the vocabulary outside our area. As a matter of fact we even have a street festival to brag about our "Honriffic" ways. The Baltimore Honfest (http://www.honfest.net/)
I really love to see people on here from outside of the United States because I learn something new even when it's just in passing. For example I've never seen the words Beauty Therapist before. But now that I think about it the word really makes sense. We're used to words like esthetician. But Beauty Therapist sounds much better.
Take care Hon

lol most of the time i don't even pay attention to nicknames added in casual conversation..it happens so often to me that i really don't notice anymore, and i'm in the states
when i was younger i would get a bit confused but i've long since learned that things are not always as they sound or appear

I don't know. It makes it sound like something's wrong with my beauty and I have to get treatments to see if it can be fixed. Will the new government insurance cover that?
I think we mostly use the word "beautician" here.
Wel thank so much for everyones in put, I have to say that it has put a smile on my face about my job title.
If any one would like to expand on any treatments that I do please feel free. I do most forms of massage. Facials, pedicures, manicures, waxing (thats my favourite treatment)tinting. You can either respond here or contact me on my e mail sammyj66@hotmail.co.uk
