Hi all!

I figured I’d post a quick introduction as well. . .

My name is Aimee, but I’ve gone by the online name Moonshadow since joining the Jedi Community and it’s become a part of who I am. So either name works for me. I’m one of the two JRC site Admins and also run the Baltimore Maryland Jedi Chapter, along with being involved with organizing annual Jedi Gatherings.

I’ve been following the Jedi Path for as long as I can remember, but finally gave it a name when I watched Empire Strikes Back in 1992. Yoda’s description of the Force and the concept of the Jedi finally put a name to everything I was looking for and seeking in my life. Then ten years later, in 2002, I discovered the Online Jedi Community which was a huge marker in moving my training forward. Chatting online wasn’t enough for me, though, so in 2003, with the assistance of others, I started organizing yearly Jedi Gatherings to help Jedi come together in real life. In May of 2004, I created the Jedi Gatherings Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jedigatheringsgroup/) to assist with organizing the Gatherings, and then joined forces with Xhaiden to open the Jedi Resource Center / Jedi Gatherings Group (www.jediresourcecenter.org) in January of 2006 to better work towards our shared goals of bringing the Jedi Community together. Now, with the new JRC upgrade that you see here, we’re finally able to provide many of the resources we’d been dreaming about all this time.

In my daily life, I have a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and work as a Physical Therapist at a local hospital. In addition, I also study martial arts (Okinawan Shorin Ryu), energy healing (Reiki, Chakara Balancing, Zero Balancing, Qigong Healing Techniques, etc), and different types of qigong and tai chi (Tai Chi Chih, Taiji Quan, Medical Qigong, etc). It’s my dream to use these skills to become a certified teacher and eventually open an offline Jedi Community Center.

Having the opportunity to meet other Jedi offline has been an amazing experience and I hope that you can use the Jedi Resource Center to help connect with other Jedi as well. Please feel free to ask if there’s anything else you’d like to know about myself or about the JRC in general.
