I'm Chris; I am very interested in the Jedi philsophy. I live in the land of enchantment(NM), outside the city on a plot of desert land. I am a very easy going person, very family orientated. My family is very open to beliefs which is gonna make it easy for me to find out more about the force. I am open to help and looking for a mentor. If you want to know more, just ask.

Welcome to the JRC, Chris! I would recommend posting your location on the Jedi Map to find more Jedi in your area. Also feel free to use the blog section to help in your training. It's a nice way to get encouragement and advice. Please let me know if you have any questions about the site or offline meetings in general.

If you're looking for some guided instruction, I would also recommend checking out the Institute for Jedi Realist Studies (http://instituteforjedirealiststudies.org/Institute/) which is a good quality online Jedi Academy. I think there are definitely a few other sites out there that offer structured learning as well.

LOL, well if your MySpace ID is correct (I'm figuring that you are in the National Guard or Army Reserves), you won't have a problem going into basic and AIT saying you are a Jedi-I've probably already broken the Drill Sergeant you are going to get in ;) (I could give you a few names of people to look for).
