Hello everyone!

I am looking for someone to teach me everything they know about the Force.

Here are my requirements for someone who wants to teach me:
You must know how to do most the force techniques in bold:
Force Touch
Force Current
Force Distributing
Force Push
Force Focus
Force Draw
Force Tow
Force Pull
Force Sweep
Force Guidance
Sensing emotion
Sensing danger
Getting guidance in your actions
Healing yourself
Shielding yourself from Force attack
Increasing speed and strength
Increasing the toughness of your body
Preventing sickness in yourself and others

-------------------------

If you are interested in teaching me then please reply to this topic with the teachniques from the list above that you ARE ABLE to do and what rank you are at each order that you are a member of.

that's alot of stuff you are demanding maybe you should cut that list back a little. Good luck trying to find someone. Here's a quick leason you don't need to be able to do all this stuff to be a jedi. Trust me I can do only a few things their and yet I am a jedi. To be a jedi in my opinion is to be willing to help anybody else that needs you. The others probably disagree with me but hey just my 2 cents

A lot of times the best mentors don't teach you the things you want to know, but the things you didn't even realize you needed to know. My advice is that if you really want a mentoring relationship to be truly valuable, to go into it with an empty cup.

well put moonshadow...it's not possible to fill a cup that's already full, but an empty cup has all the room in the world...

I agree with MoonShadow. Each of us have our own spin on what we feel are needed in order to be Jedi. And in fact, the mystical side is not always part of it.

For those of us that DO use the mystical, it is specific to their way of being Jedi (Guardian, Mystic, Diplomat, Healer).

The real question is, what path are you looking to be? Then, why do you want to be a Jedi?

looking over that list again...it seems that some of the skills not in bold are actually pre-requisites to some of the bold ones....for instance focus...without this basic skill you cannot learn the rest...you have to know how to draw in the energy, focus it, then direct it. without this knowledge the rest would be pointless.....some of them are simply variations of other abilities....it's a simple law of nature: even the greatest bird must first learn to walk before it can fly

RyuJin there is so much to learn about the force and nobody knows everything about it. I will give you some advice as a brother to a brother. The force is a mystery, and there is so much to learn not just things we can do with it but the force all together. I suggest you stop worrying about using the force and find a teacher who you feel you have a connection with rather than good with using the force. I'll admit the force is cool when you use it but thats only a small aspect of what the force is. I had to learn that the hard way. If I were you I would find a teacher who you have a connection with and be taught what ever comes your way. Go with the flow. When an oppertunity comes to learn something whether it be a force skill or anything else. Just go with the flow.

:) The force be with you

p.s I was not getting at you just thought this could help. :)

First off I think you are awesome to ask for a mentor in something you have an interest in. Most people in life are either too proud or too shy to do such a thing. This act speaks volumes about you. It is fortunate that you found someone who is willing to teach you. Your bravery to ask was rewarded. Hopefully you remember this and learn that you can't get what you want without first letting people know what your goals are.

Communication is a wonderful life skill to have.

I say go ahead and ask for the very best set your goals high and you will reach them. I hope one day if we ever meet at a gathering. I can see a skillful demonstration of The Force that you have learned.

Best of luck to you in everything you do.

Kick Butt!!!

I can do all of those things.

I've seen most of them too, his Force Push is almost as good as mine.

Thats a hard list to complete to find someone who isn't just making it up. Or that hasn't given themselves a master title or something.

IDK Ryu I think Austin has the normal amount of patients for a young man in the Seventh Grade who found a community of grown up people who believe in the same thing as he does. He might be a bit over excited. But I think it's all good.

@Mindas it's a shame he decided that he couldn't follow your training methods. It's awesome that you were willing to teach him. Something tells me it involves a lot of running.

Finially to Austin Skywalker keep reaching for your goals buddy. Set your sites to the stars. If you are truely 100% interested something you must put in a laserlike focus towards your goal and WORK for it. Don't let any naysayers slow you down. You'll hit a few bumps and fall. Just remember to reach up and "keep moving forward".

Oh and don't forget to enjoy the simple things in life too. A cup of tea might not be as cool as a Force Push. But next time you get one. Close your eyes and take a slow sip and really enjoy everything about it. Put your nose to it and breathe it in. See if you can note everything that goes through your mind and your heart.

If you enjoyed what you have experienced then drink it all in. So you'll have an empty cup to be filled again. If it's not totally empty it will overflow and make a mess.

that's the key word stan WORK...everything in life worth having requires determination and effort, there are no shortcuts...at the same time patience is a must because not everything is easily learned or mastered...i've been a jedi for almost 21 years now and still haven't mastered all that there is, and probably never will since there is so much to learn....

stancheung75
01-27-2010, 04:37 PM
RyuJin that's right WORK, DETERMINATION and EFFORT. I couldn't have put it any better buddy.

There are NO SHORTCUTS IN LIFE also THERE ARE NO LIMITS.
