Even though we are resented because we have a non-profit organization AND are affiliated as a CERT team, the Cajun Jedi Association will be having a gathering, again, in the very near future. Contact Kena, if you want to participate.

Why would you having a non-profit or being CERT affliated, cause you or your group to be resented.

Seems like both would be a reason to applaud your group. Not Resent it.

As for your permissions and not being able to post in the gathering area. Is this an issue that has been actually applied to you for previous actions? What I mean is it seems by the tone (I admit that it is simply how I read it and may not be the actual intent.) That you feel it is on purpose that you can't post there. As such I assume you have noted this and asked to have it be fixed and been refused. If thats so please send me a PM with the handle of the person you contacted as I wish to argue that you should be able to do so.

While I am not directly affliated with the staff here and as such I may not be able to resolve the issue if one does exist beyond a simple mistake in permission settings. I would like to try.

That section is not actually meant for direct posting but I did double check things to see what was up with the section and found the description link wasn't working and I also made a post clarifying how to submit a proposal. Hope that helps.

If anyone isn't able to post in a section they think they should be able to please drop me a note and I can double check things to see if there is a mistake or if there is a reason a section is not to be posted in.

Who resents your group? Nobody that I'm aware of. The only bad things I heard about you or your group is that the last gathering was in a swamp and the mosquitoes were bad. Don't make something out of nothing.

AHA! So this group DID follow through with that. Last I heard of the Cajun Jedi was from Tier. But when she dropped away from the community (job and all), she had thought you guys might have been disbanned. Glad to hear that isn't the case!!!! :)

Hey JBar, I'm a bit confused by your post as well. I'm excited to hear that you guys are still active and have met the goals you were striving for. Looking forward to another Gathering, although hopefully with a little less heat and humidity. :p Are you planning one in LA again, or are you thinking about coordinating with the TX Jedi for a different Southern location?

Feel free to submit a Gathering proposal so we can get everyone on the same page and coordinate between the various Gathering proposals for next year. Right now there are proposals for Michigan in the summer of 2011 and Texas in the fall of 2011. There is also a possible rescheduling of the NZ Gathering for January/February 2012.

Please let us know when you plan to have your Gathering so we can try to space things out so they don't overlap too much and people have the ability to attend multiple Gatherings if they like. And also so we can help you advertise and bring more Jedi together.
