Hi
So recently I've been on a low point as far as my career is concerned. My job has downsized after about 17 years of working there. I'm now working 16 hours a week as opposed to 40. Anytime there is a drastic change in income/ finances stress levels elevate. I really hate to think of our moods being controlled by money. It is possible for it not to, but a lot of people have a unhealthy relationship with money. All that aside it's also the fact that I don't know what to do with the free time I have. I'm so use to being uber busy the thought of my hours not being filled with things to do actually scares me more.

I could really use some "chicken soup for the soul" (http://www.chickensoup.com/) type stories so I asked my facebook friends who absolutely LOVES their job to share what they do. I loved the responses I got. It gave me great materials to read and it was awesome to see my friends with such a happy place in life. I'm looking for stories of people who love their jobs to inspire me through my job downsizing. So I'm at a point when I'm just hoping to find any form of good news that the world is good because I'm pretty upset at the world for having this happen to me.

I really wanted some company from a friend and was hungry. So I got a friend to go to Hooters (http://www.hooters.com/home.aspx) with me for all you can eat wings. Well that's a lot of wings to go through I had to walk it off.

So I decided to stroll over a few blocks and just walk into the Guitar Center (http://www.guitarcenter.com/). I have no business going in there. I don't play any instrument. It's just a store I haven't been in before. I walked in to find that they are having the store finals to the King of the Blues guitar contest (http://gc.guitarcenter.com/kingoftheblues/). So I stuck around since I do like the blues.

Everyone was doing very well but this one particular young man Dan T. Price (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3qN3l4QzZs)was assisted up on stage by his mom. It turns out that he is blind from a genetic condition that detached his rhetinas and has a highly functional form of Autism called Asperger's Syndrome.

He placed the guitar across his lap and played the most beautiful blues guitar I've ever heard. I started to cry. Not like a baby but I was feeling the vibes for sure.

But watching him perform really put a lot of things into perspective. Here I am feeling sorry for myself because life seemed to be really unfair to me. Here is a young man that can complain about the world being unfair but he takes his lemons and make lemonade. Who can't love a story like that.

So from me getting stories of people who love their jobs to being hungry for Hooters to having to walk off the food to walking into Guitar Center for the first time to find a Blues competition to being there on time to see Dan Price play. I think the Universe was speaking to me. Now if I can only keep my ears and heart open to everything it has to say.

The funny thing about this is that I was just hanging out with my friend Jessica on Monday night and we did Zumba and went back to my place. Jess decided to pop in the dvd THE SECRET (http://http://thesecret.tv/). We watched the whole thing about Law of Attraction. I was relearning everything from it. I think I manifested my circumstance here.

I'm greatful to the universe for suggesting Hooters and pointing me to the right place at the right time.

Stan, I got let go after 12 years at a pretty good paying job, had to move in with my inlaws... Blah-blah... The world ain't fair and it sucks... But I no longer travel, and because of that, I see my children every night.. Kiss my wife goodbye every day when I leave for work... Don't worry about what you no longer have, that is the past. Instead, appriciate what you have right now...

Good luck.....

Thank You Jestor. I'm not that bitter anymore. It's just waves of feeling sorry for myself and figuring out life style changes that is in reality just inconveniences that got to me.

But yesterdays experience just gave me the paradigm shift I needed.

By the way Dan did win the competition. He is very amazing. I hope he wins the whole thing.

Again I would like to thank Mindas for suggesting I try to find clips o him on Youtube.

Dan despite all he has against him was able to learn to play the piano by age two. Was able to play every part of music from composers like Bach at age six. Since he is vision impaired he has learned to play using his photographic memory for music.

This young man is inspiring. A word that my friend, a motivational speaker and life coach, is rooted from "in spirit"

I am very happy that you have more time to spend with your family.

thank you I do believe it will change for the better too. Honestly, I'm not as down now as I was before I put this post up. I'm positive there are waves of greater things coming my way.

The way I see it I live a very awesome life already. I get to train with great martial artist from different disciplines at my house.

I have a most unique workout buddy who is a professional Elvis Tribute Artist. I just happen to be a huge fan of Elvis. This guy came looking for me specificlly becuase I do core performance training.

I'm co organizer to the Maryland Jedi Order with Moonshadow. I get to go indoor rock climbing on a nightly basis with her too...love it.

I get to do swordfighting with the choreographer to the Blade movies.

Most importantly my family and friends are well and knows I love them.

Honestly life is good. It's just sometimes I forget that. I didn't show gratitude to what I have. To tell you the truth it's only going to get better because I won't except anything less.

EVERYONE can do the same. I hope and want to send out the positive vibration for all my fellow jedi and everyone across the world to be even happier and successful than they already are.
