What happened to the Temple discussion forum? I thought there was one here :sCo_chinscratch:.

I was looking to start looking for training partners / roommates to start a Jedi "temple" with.

If you're interested pm me. I don't like to type much on public forums.

I'm 25 and have a steady well paying job.

If anyone is interested at all in a Jedi temple but not necessarily with me, I still might be able to help you. Even if just with ideas. Just pm me!

Peace:sHa_thumb:

Oh, and what's the word on improving cross communication between other Jedi groups on the net? Anybody doing this already?

It's hard enough to get 20 people to commit to a weekend Gathering, so I don't see a permanent temple for jedi training happening in this lifetime. If the majority of the community can't get past the walking phase, they sure aren't ready for the running phase.

that is quite true unfortunately, and i think one of the biggest culprits behind it is the economy. many within the community have spouses and children to think of and cannot simply pickup and move without knowing for certain that they will have a home and job waiting. there are many other reasons as well, one of which is reaching that point where all the various groups agree upon a single set of guidelines and methodology...

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm looking for at least one other person but will work with what I get. I'm not starting a public temple for people to come in off the street to learn how to be a Jedi. I'm looking for another Jedi (or a few) to basically be roommates and training partners. I'd like to keep the house, condo, or small apartment complex to remain as a place where Jedi live even after I leave. (which will probably be in a year). I'm a transient being and my guess is that there are other transient Jedi out there. I also know that there is a high percent of the population in this area with Jedi like ideals. I just don't have the time to personally advertise to the populous in order to find a few within a niche group. Hence why I'm here.

If anyone is at least interested in helping a brother out, maybe spread word of this to the other Jedi sites you visit. My plan is to do this again wherever I end up next. Probably NW US. It would end up similar to a sorority/fraternity. Unless decided otherwise, I would remain ultimately responsible for the condo or whatever.

Thanks for looking

If a group of people started a business, each doing a specific and fundamental aspect of providing for that company, and were also Jedi… They would probably use their income to purchase similar things. And would probably like spending off time with each other or maybe even train together. Some might also be simple hermits that wouldn't mind living simply and sharing facilities with other like minded Jedi who then could live for cheaper and have more time to work on becoming better at their path. I have ideas for products that could provide funding of Jedi activities. And thoughts about how people can personally do a lot of the work to create these products. My theory is that everyone has something to give to their own causes.

I don't think it's the economy, it's just that people don't want to. The people that DO show up are always the ones who show up and they aren't rich. They are just dedicated.
