Alrighty Everyone! It's time for Kitsu's report!
I've been assigned to update, clean, edit, upload, and do all around photo album maintenance. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don't be afraid to contact me.
There are just a couple things that I do request. Well really only two major things. And the first is trust. I ask that you all trust me to know what I am doing, and to trust that, in time, all our favorite photos both old and new will be restored back up to the photo album, with a new look & feel to member browsing.
The other thing that I wished to request is patience.. There are so many wonderful Jedi out there that have attended these gatherings that my brain may be foggy on a few things – if you find that I have miss-spelled, miss-named, or missed...anything, please don't be afraid to contact me (Nicely if you could) with the mess up. Be sure that if & when you do, you provide the following
Which Gathering Folder is the messed up located in?
What is the photos name?
What is the mess up?
And what is the correction needed to be done?
I also ask that you all have patience with the time it will take to upload all the pictures up to the photo album. I currently have a folder labeled “Gatherings” on my desk top with the following properties – Contains 3,918 photos split between 90 folders. So needless to say, I have a lot of work to do, and it WILL take me some significant time to get through it all. But I am working on it!
Things to expect::
Captions – I will be doing my best to properly caption ALL pictures
Quotes – I will be doing my best to add quotes and comments to add some flair an further insight on the photo being viewed. If you have a specific quote, for a specific photo that you would like to have added, please contact me with the details and we shall see what we can see!
---- Those without captions or quotes will be put inside of an “un-marked” folder. I...can upload these if you all wish for it. But In my honest opinion it's just clutter and not necessary in keeping. Personally id just delete the entire thing but....I'll leave the vote to the members.
Edits – Photo's WILL be edited. I will be going through ALL pictures and editing out any background clutter & un-necessary distractions – Things like extra green field around one person (Edit will focus on narrowing the picture down to just that one person) …..ect. I promise, I wont go editing out anything that may be important to the photo, just the clutter.
Missing Photos – To all you camera holders like myself, you may notice some pictures missing form the original files, these pictures are likely repeats, fuzzy, blurred, sun flared, bad capture (like people caught in mid scratch of their nose...>_<...yes...Ive found a few...looks like they are doing...other...things...>_<...) and so on and so forth. I took these out for two reason. 1. No one wants to look at default, crappy pictures (At least I sure don't..) & 2. It saves on file space for both uploading time, and the main photo album itself, allowing room for future gatherings and their soon to be expected photos
Anyways!!! If I missed anything please let me know!! other then that...I'm off!

(Off site) I have maybe....10 more pictures left!!! Will be up-loaded as soon as I find the names of the people in the photo's! ;)

Special Note: This set contains pictures of the Chicago Knighting Ceremony! Phew.... Finally! Give a BIG Congrats to - Jedi Knight Jeremy, Jedi Knight Ross, and Jedi Knight Yoda. ;)
Sunday August 1, 2010 - (On Site) 1st set of Main-Gathering pictures have been added to the 2010 Main Michigan Gathering (http://www.jediresourcecenter.org/gallery/index.php/2010_Michigan_Gathering/2010_Main_Michigan_Gathering_) photo Album. (Off site) Working on the next batch. Will continue to load in batches until the entire lot is complete.
Note: I will give a warning...there are ALOT... alot...alot... of repeat pictures or 'same' pictures. I will be keeping the ones that look the best in the Main folder...and move the rest into the 'Extra' folder. The Extra's will likely still be fun to look at :) Just didn't want to clutter things with a whole bunch of the same thing....

Thursday July 31, 2010 - (On Site) Post-Gathering pictures are edited, cleaned up, titled and COMPLETE!! (http://www.jediresourcecenter.org/gallery/index.php/2010_Michigan_Gathering/2010_Post-Michigan_Gathering) They are now loaded up into the Post-gathering photo album.
Also with the Post-Gathering pictures is a New album called "Post-Extras" (http://www.jediresourcecenter.org/gallery/index.php/2010_Michigan_Gathering/2010_Post-Michigan_Gathering/Post-_Extra%27s) These are pictures that didn't make it into the main album like Landscaping, repeats, to fuzzy to really make out what the picture is, or pictures that just really didn't work out. (I know some people still like to see these types of pictures so...there you go!)
Thursday July 29, 2010 - (On Site) 2010 Pre-Gathering pictures are edited, cleaned up, titled and COMPLETE!! (http://www.jediresourcecenter.org/gallery/index.php/2010_Michigan_Gathering/2010_Pre-Michigan_Gathering) Loading them up to the 2010 Pre-Michigan Gathering album at this very moment, should be done in 15..20 mins. (Off Site) going to work on Post Gathering Pictures next. There's not as many in the post-gathering folder as there are in the Main. So....yea...im being lazy and doing easy first :sHa_lol:
Wednesday July 28, 2010 - (On Site) 2010 photo albums are now set up, ready and waiting for picture up-loads. (off site) Working one the pre-gathering pictures now, will upload in the next day or so :)
Thursday August 20, 2009 - (On Site) Another handful of Photo's (82 photo's) has been uploaded to the 2009 Michigan Gathering folder. Enjoy.
Wednesday August 19, 2009 - (On Site) Ok so some good, ok, not so good, and annoying news. My computer sucks. Plain and simple, its crap. What this means is that...with this new...album... I am unable to load up full folders, in attempt, my computer times out, and only a few of the full get loaded

To fix this, and to satisfy your curiosity - I have opted a new plan. Every so often, as I get bits and chunks done... I'll load up a handful and report it here - Rinse, wash, repeat. So with this in mind
A good handful of 2009 Michigan Gathering photo's has been loaded up to the new Album. I shall alert you when I upload a new batch of this folder. There is a ton there, ill not lie...Three individuals with full cameras....yea...this WILL take me awhile to complete. Period.
Edit:: And I'm still finding ghost pictures... I've noticed it ghosts when ever a picture has " ' " in a title...
Monday August 17, 2009 - (On Site) The 2008 PA Gathering pictures are uploaded to the new Photo Album. Again, this one was done first due to last years tampering before. Easiest task out of my job :-p Issues- I think 3 or 4 of the pictures decided to ghost on us...I'll see what I can see as I continue to figure this...album....out. >_> In other new's I am still plugging away at the MI gathering pictures...Sorry for the delay, your foxy image worker got pink eye, has been feeling pregnant, and has been at Gen con all weekend...life happens. Doing the best I can for all you eager viewers.

Saturday August 8, 2009 - (Off Site) Working on 2009 MI Gathering photo's now, no idea when It will be done and ready, but I am working on it, as I know all of you are excited to see what went on at our previous event. Been feeling a bit...off today...so it may take me a bit more time to get through it all.
Saturday August 8, 2009 - (Off Site) Got most if not all of 2008 PA gathering photo's done, edited, cropped, captioned, and ready for upload. I did this one first because I had already done this folder once before last year...so it was the easiest of all of them. Further news to when the pictures will be uploaded at a later date.
